Because of Tri-Land's widely recognized experience and expertise in food/drug retailing and retail development in general, Tri-Land has been engaged by several large supermarket chains to execute long-term, multi-state/multi-store consulting agreements, most notably:
- 1995 – 98 Dominick's Finer Foods, Inc. – Now a subsidiary of Safeway Supermarkets. Tri-Land developed a strategic store location plan for a 100-store supermarket chain, reporting directly to President/CEO and Real Estate board. Among the recommended locations, Tri-Land developed four grocery stores and shopping centers for Dominick's between 1996 and 1998.
- 1991 - 95 National Supermarkets, Inc. – An operating chain of 70 stores in St. Louis and New Orleans purchased by Schnuck's Supermarkets in 1995. Tri-Land developed a five-year strategic store location plan, acquired real estate for three 100,000-square-foot superstores and one 60,000-square-foot traditional supermarket.
- 1990 Eagle Supermarkets – Retained to evaluate performance and recommend improvements to the chain's Northwest Suburban network of under-performing Eagle Supermarkets.
In addition to the foregoing supermarket consulting agreements, Tri-Land has served as exclusive broker and leasing agent for national retailers including Staples Office Supply and Sampler Publications.
