The two owners of Tri-Land are Richard Dube, its founder, and Hugh Robinson who has been with Tri-Land for 27 years. Together, Robinson and Dube control 100% of the stock of Tri-Land, Inc. Both of these principals, as well as other key management people, have significant prior experience with national food/drug retailers.

Richard F. Dube

Prior to establishing Tri-Land, Mr. Dube was Vice President of Real Estate and Construction for Loblaw Ltd., a Toronto, Canada-based supermarket chain of approximately 150 stores. Mr. Dube's career began at Jewel Food Stores, the leading supermarket chain in Chicago, where he became Chicago Store Location Manager at the age of 23. In that position, Mr. Dube was principally responsible for identifying, assembling and developing all supermarket sites for Jewel within the city of Chicago, including six inner city stores, two of which were built on former industrial sites. Mr. Dube has a bachelor of science degree from Western Michigan University and a master's degree from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York.


Hugh D. Robinson

After receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois, Hugh Robinson started his career in the real estate department of National Supermarkets, a supermarket chain of approximately 700 stores. During
Mr. Robinson's National Supermarket tenure, he was promoted in the real estate development department to store location manager and was used in various markets such as New Orleans, Louisiana, Denver, Colorado, Cleveland, Ohio and Illinois to assist National’s real estate expansion program.

Mr. Robinson was promoted to National’s Canadian parent company where he developed a network of new Loblaw supermarkets in the Toronto, Canada central city. Subsequent to Loblaw, Mr. Robinson became the new store location manager for Walgreens where he was responsible for the multi-state development of Walgreens Drug stores. In 1979, Mr. Robinson joined Tri-Land Properties, Inc. as executive vice president where he has focused his activities on acquisitions and development of new projects.
