Tri-Land Properties, Inc. is a full-service company that acquires, develops, leases and manages shopping centers. The firm is best known for its high-quality redevelopment of existing retail properties.

Tri-Land Properties, Inc. (Tri-Land) was formed as an Illinois corporation in 1978.
Since that time, Tri-Land has been a full service real estate development, management and leasing company which has devoted its efforts primarily to the development of open-air shopping centers from 60,000 Sq. Ft. to 750,000 Sq. Ft. Tri-Land has specialized in converting older, distressed enclosed shopping centers and malls into open air centers but it has substantial experience in creating new shopping centers as well. During the past 25 years, Tri-Land has worked on projects in New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Illinois, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Indiana.

Because a large number of Tri-Land projects involve redevelopment of severely underperforming shopping centers, Tri-Land has considerable experience in the use of tax increment financing and Empire Zone tax abatement programs to complement conventional private financing of difficult projects.

In the last ten years, Tri-Land has been involved in the development, management and leasing of over 5.6 million square feet of retail space in 30 properties. Tri-Land currently owns and manages approximately 2.6 million square feet of retail space in 16 shopping center properties. These centers are primarily located in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic states. Tri-Land projects typically outperform their peers in their respective markets and are known for the high priority Tri-Land places on first-rate building design, landscaping, lighting and maintenance.
